ARDS Aboriginal Corporation’s Cultural Competency Training was developed to meet the high demand for accessible and practical training for organisations and individuals working in East Arnhem Land.
Drawing on 50 years’ of cross-cultural engagement experience with Yolŋu communities, we offer a range of training formats to suit different organisational and personal learning needs:
• Tailored workshops for organisations (including access to eLearn modules)
• 8-week online course (including access to eLearn modules)
• 10 eLearn modules
• Online Plain English classes (1- or 2-class packages available).

Tailored Workshops
Facilitated by expert Yolŋu and Balanda (non-Indigenous) cross-cultural facilitators, our highly interactive workshops will support your team to develop practical skills for effective engagement with Yolŋu people and communities.

Online Course
Our 8-week online course, held three times a year, is delivered by expert Yolŋu and Balanda facilitators, and covers all the workshop modules in 1.5 hour sessions.

eLearn Training
Our eLearn program is an excellent introduction to Yolŋu culture and worldview. It features insights from Yolŋu leaders on a range of topics, interactive learning activities, and practical skills for engagement.

Plain English Training
One or two 1.5 hour sessions designed to help you master Plain English use, facilitated online by expert linguists and cross-cultural facilitators.
