Strongyloides are tiny parasitic worms that cause strongyloidiasis, with symptoms of varying severity, from mild, intermittent symptoms to fatalities. Strongyloides infect many people in the northern two-thirds of the Australian continent, including Aboriginal people living in remote communities.
