Yolŋu Radio Update

Yolŋu Radio Update

As part of NAIDOC Week we have received Australian Government funding for two projects based on this year’s NAIDOC Week theme “Voice. Treaty. Truth”. One project will see Yolŋu Radio reporters interview longgrassers around Darwin, giving them the opportunity to pass on information to family and friends about their wellbeing, and asking their thoughts and hopes about Treaty, while the second will feature interviews with leading Aboriginal figures, including Treaty Commissioner Mick Dodson and senior Yolŋu elders, about Treaty and what it can mean to Yolŋu people.

The programs will be broadcast on Yolŋu Radio during NAIDOC Week so be sure to be listening in via the radio, the Yolŋu Radio app or on our website.
