What's new for Yolŋu Radio?!
It’s been a good dry season for Yolŋu Radio with a number of big outside broadcasts such as Yarrapay Festival, Garma Festival and the GAFL Football Grandfinal. Our team of presenters and producers have been busy making a broad range of regular weekly programming and some great feature pieces.
In response to feedback from our audience, the Yolŋu Radio weekly program schedule has continued to change significantly as we strive to continually improve in meeting our audiences evolving needs and working with technology and software to ensure these needs can be met as efficiently as possible.
The program reflects feedback from young people, elders, leaders, board members, staff members and their families, organisations and clients to ensure the best possible flow and logical programming to reflect the listening habits and media needs of 4 generations.
You can find the Yolŋu Radio weekly program guide on the ARDS website https://ards.com.au/yolngu-radio/radio-programs
Another achievement over the last couple of months has also been strengthening the ability to collaborate across studios. Our Darwin studios now has the ability to broadcast live, and producers, presenters and guests can collaborate across studios and via the phone. This is an exciting improvement that brings greater flexibility, collaboration, and opportunities to create and broadcast great content!
Remember that all the great Yolŋu Radio programming can be heard in a wide variety of ways, whether that is via your local frequency, including Darwin’s new FM transmission of 88.9FM, Soundcloud for on-demand streaming or podcasts, Indigitube, live streaming at ards.com.au, or via the new Yolŋu Radio App.
