ARDS in the News September 2019

ARDS and Yolŋu Radio continue to be popular topics for the media, with NITV’s The Point show featuring Yolŋu Radio. The NITV crew spent a day with us in the Nhulunbuy studio prior to Garma and Sylvia Nulpinditj, Adam Waṉambi and Michael Hunter did a fantastic job flying the flag for us.

Not to be outdone, the ABC also interviewed Yolŋu Radio staffers during Garma (and regularly came to us for assistance on pronunciations).

Last year, our ARDS Nhulunbuy team recorded some interviews about the use of social media and Yolŋu ways of life. RMIT have used some of this information in a really interesting podcast called “Sky Camp”, which you can listen to at https://podcasts.apple.com/au/podcast/disconnect/id1473568047
