Announcement from ARDS Acting Chair Gawura Waṉambi
Greetings All,
It is with great sadness I announce that Johanna Ward has stepped down from her role as ARDS CEO effective from 25 September 2019. Jo has served ARDS well over the past four years and has left the organisation in a very strong position. With the support of the ARDS board, please join us in wishing her well in her future endeavor.
Effective immediately, ARDS Board appointed Rev Haloti Kailahi, a current corporate member of the board, as the Interim ARDS CEO until a new CEO is recruited. Rev Haloti Kailahi is currently the General Secretary of the Northern Synod of the Uniting Church in Australia and has worked in executive roles in community organisations for many years. We welcome Rev Haloti and we are looking forward to continue working with you and providing quality services to meet your needs. Rev Haloti and I are looking to forward to visit communities in the near future to meet with local elders and discuss the issues important to them, their families and their community.
Please note that ARDS services and projects will not be affected during this transitional period. Please feel free to get in touch with ARDS, Haloti or me on (08) 8984 4174.
Regards,
Gawura Wanambi
